  • Christian Pulisic has officially completed his transfer from Chelsea to AC Milan
  • The American spent four seasons at Stamford Bridge but was inconsistent due to injuries
  • He has opened up on his regrets during his time in England and admits things could have been different

Christian Pulisic has opened up on where it all went wrong for him at Chelsea and how he could have done better, but he is grateful for what he achieved in blue.

Pulisic signed for the London outfit in January 2019 and was immediately loaned back to Borussia Dortmund till the end of the season. By the time he linked up with the squad, Maurizio Sarri had left, and Frank Lampard was the new boss.

He initially struggled to get minutes but blossomed after hitting a perfect hat-trick in the 4-2 win over Burnley. He ended the season with 22 goals, including a goal in the FA Cup final.

His second season was not exactly impressive individually, but he made vital goal contributions in the Champions League knockout stages against Spanish oppositions Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

Pulisic admits Chelsea regret

Shortly after his unveiling at Casa Milan, the American attacker spoke on his time at Chelsea and pointed to a lack of opportunities as to why he had less impact.

"Of course, there were definitely times where I wish I could have gotten that much more of an opportunity and been 'that guy,' but that's not the case," he told ESPN.
"I'm strongly proud of what I achieved at Chelsea, winning major cup finals, being on the pitch and helping my team, Champions League, Super Cup, all that," he added.
"I believe I had great moments at Chelsea."

It was easy to blame the lack of opportunities, but the 24-year-old struggled with injuries. According to Transfermarkt, he had 10 different injuries and missed 55 games during his four-year stint in the Premier League.

He acknowledged winning the Champions League as the highlight of his Blues career in his farewell note, which he kept short and simple.

Pulisic shows impressive ball skills

Sports Brief reported that Pulisic showed impressive ball skills with his mom, Kelly, during a ball jogging moment in the kitchen, and fans claimed the mum is a better football.

Both parents are sports-loving and played collegiate soccer at the university where they met.
